Do you think it's okay if I memorize the opening monologue in Annie Hall to perform at an open casting call. Here's the thing though ... I'm not a man, nor am I 40, or slightly balding like Woody Allen states during the monologue. Do you think I should do something more age approprate? I've been searching for monologues all night long and haven't found a single one that I feel is worth memorizing.
I'm 20 years old, female, and looking to do a really funny monologue for my audition. I have no acting experience what-so-ever. Comedy is my style.

I think you absolutely need to find something appropriate for you. You can always consider changing the words to suit your needs. You may also want to consider that the auditors could possibly see you but hear and picture Woody Allen in their heads... not a good thing. If you think that a couple of changes can really make it something that you can make your own, then who's to say it wouldn't work? Go for it if you feel confident in your ability to present the material with a fresh view, but I definitely wouldn't say the lines including 40 and balding.

this is not even a question. all your doing is saying that you didnt like it. thats fine if you didnt like it, its a movie. not everyone will like it so thats fine. Annie Hall is far superior to all the romantic comedies that come out today.
