The Roman Empire had moved into Northern Europe. The Chinese and the Indias had a culture similar to Rome. Northern Africa was very advanced. Little is known about the Americas because of no written records. However we do know the Mound Builders in North America and the Monument Buildes in Central America had very advanced civilizations.

Stuff was going on. How much is recorded depends on the culture of each region.

We know much about Rome because they spread all over their region of the world and they wrote lots of books about stuff.

Some places actually didn't have civilizations as you would know them. Often the areas were quite tribal, and although they did have a "culture" it may not have included writing. In that case, we would only know of them by their art works and other things left behind.

The links below will start you on Asia and Africa.

I once talked to a theology professor that told me, in the Americas at the time of Jesus, Jesus took a fishing voyage with Peter, and several other disciples, and traveled as far as Cuba, and made it to Mexico, there he spoke with Aztec Indians, and that is where the Aztec got their ideas about Gods eating flesh, (like in communion,) , and why they thought Cortez, (a man with a beard,) was their God, Quetzalcoatl.
