They have a kit you can get..its a slightly different kind of mod podge(or decoupage) and all you do is place your fabric where you want it on your chair and then put the fabric decoupage over it and it will seal it..you may need a few coats but it should work...They make a lot of different kinds of mod podge for different applications now.

You want Fabric Podge for this one...Good Luck

I think it will work best if you make a color copy of the bandana. If you do that you can manipulate the bandana so the pattern is centered, and there is logic to the pattern along the rest of the seat. then decoupage the copy on to the chair, using modge podge to seal it.
Otherwise, you might try with fabric, find the thinnest bandana possible. Make sure you have washed, and ironed the bandana, that will get the sizing out and will help prevent wrinkles. Coat the seat with modge podge, and let it set up. Lay the bandana down, position it where you want, and smooth out all wrinkles. let it dry for at least 15 minutes, then, using a paint brush, put a cover of modge podge on top, smoothing it out to prevent wrinkles. Let it dry. Add at least 2 more layers of modge podge, gently sanding between each layer, and let each layer dry.
It sounds really cute!

The best stuff to use is Modge Podge, you'll have to probably cut smaller pieces and place them in smart places to cover the "seams" The modge podge works as both a glue to adhere the fabric and a sealant after it's done...it's a great product and you should be able to get it at any craft store/department

I don't think it'll work. The fabric will be too porous to be sealed. You could print out pictures of bandanna fabric and modge podge them onto a chair then seal it.

I think it would look awesome to just paint on a bandana pattern.
