If you are not gaining weight then you need to wash your clothes on cold or warm and dry on perm press not hot! Sheep do not shrink because they are full of lanolin and their coats are dense. '0)

It's not the wetness that causes wool to shrink. It's the extense heat. So, maybe if you put a sheep into the dryer, it may shrink. However, getting wet does not make laundry shrink.

because the sheep are basically outside being dryed by the air, sort of like laundry that is "line dried" doesn't shrink.

Clothing is shrunk in the dryer, not in the washer, because certain fabrics can't withstand heat above a certain temperature... (which answers your next question why don't clothes on the line outside shrink from the heat) ;)

Maybe sheep do shrink! Maybe if they didn't they would all be the size of cows? How would we know? I guess you would have to have a sheep that never went out in the rain to find out, huh?

Why can cows go out in the rain and not have their leather get ruined? I can't take my suede coat in the rain without it getting spotted, yet it was cow once.

Guess it is just one of the mysteries of life, huh?

clothing is woven together. In the dryer, each thread shrinks, the shape gets distorted, and causes the clothing to shrink.

Sheep fuzz aren't made of mixed materials, just sheep fuzz, wool. Laundry also has to face the washing liquids and extreme heat, hydration, and cold.
