My 13 year old son is an Asperger's child, I couldn't love him more dearly. He is great at math and rotten at social cues, loves computers, hates loud noises, small talk, showers, and has difficulty with conversational speech, not understanding the non-verbal cues we all give off in order to have a conversation be a give and take instead of a lecture.

We are lucky to live in an area that has an Asperger's high school. It is Orion Academy in Moraga CA. They have a web site that is very good, if you are interested.

Asperger's syndrome is a form of Autism, a disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to others.

A number of traits of autism are common to Asperger Syndrome including: -

Difficulty in communicating
Difficulty in social relationships
A lack of imagination and creative play.

People with aspergers usually have fewer problems with language then those with autism, often speaking fluently.

People with Asperger also do not have
accompanying learning difficulties often associated with autism, because of this many children with Asperger Syndrome enter mainstream school, with the right support and encouragement.

Hope this is the information you were looking for, as you have not asked a question.
