Yes, Wisdom is the knowledge gained by making mistakes.
The sad part is many people gain no wisdom.

To err is human ! However I dont think its true to say thats how we learn for example did we learn that 1 plus 1 is 2 by doing millions of other calculations dont think so ! The important thing from a mistake is understanding why it happened learning from it and moving on. Hope this helps a little.

Of course we are supposed to make mistakes. But if we do not learn from those mistakes, we never grow. Therefore we will make the same mistakes over and over again. I think we should make sure to learn from them..... I know I am trying to not make the same mistakes over and over again!

I manage to learn without making mistakes...
But I also learn from them when I do.
To use mistakes or the expectation of making mistakes as a back drop for learning...
Interesting theory but I'll let someone else test it out first.
Is the stove burner hot ?
Does the bullet come out of this end of the gun ?
Jump off this building and see if you can fly ?
I can pull out in time...
My brakes work just fine...

no that's just the upside of a mistake. learning from it. however, we are not to deliberately go out and make mistakes. do you purposely put your hand on a stove to get burned and then you "learn" not to burn yourself. or perhaps you can be intelligent enough to take the advice from those who know that hot stoves burn skin! lol btw how old are you?? 15??? sounds like someone is looking for a reason to make a mistake.

Yeah, we learn from mistakes. Our own or others. But we shouldn't want to hurt ourselves or others. We have been given common sense. We shouldn't go running into fires if we don't need to.

mistakes happen when u stop being consciously aware of ur actions, physical and verbal. keep ur head together and mistakes wont happen,. u learn from preventing mistakes
