How do you make yourself smile when you're really sad?

I think about happy, beautiful things. However, I'm not allowed to smile at all because everybody in the world hates my smile, including my parents.

Look at yourself in the mirror, sad face and all. Now start just with a tiny little grin at yourself, let it get a little bigger and a little bit bigger and you will not only smile you will totally crack-up laughing. Go try it now!

When I'm sad what I do to make myself smile is I think of something funny or I watch spongebob

thinking happy thoughts. or i make my self laugh. im a great actress (been in a few plays as well) so im not sure if you can play it off as well as i can. but just think of things that normally make you happy or laugh. and it is possible to smile no matter how sad you are, trust meh.

You just do it and sometimes it makes you feel better but other times it just makes you feel like crying all the worse. I know, I did it yesterday. I smiled but was almost in tears. Oh well, today is better.

i don't consider a fake smile a real smile. a smile is natural, and if it isn't then it doesnt count!

with my mouth closed. I can never show my teeth in a sad smile, it doesn't seem right.

shop for accessories! i know it probably sounds corny, but thats what i do, plus if the cash flow is low i'm still able to find something i really like!
