I do not think this is bad that she was "reassigned." Do I like her, No! however, I think it was the best for society and los Angeles. She went from 24 days in jail to 45 on house arrest, so she really did not has to spend longer with limited activities.
I work in juvinile corrections in a neighboring county and think this move was best. As a worker in a corrections facility, i understand the negative impact having her in the facility can have on the tone of the work environment. If you add this to the money and mental cost to dealing with the media being around the building, It cost society a lot less to move her. Now the media is outside her house. She will spend the next 40 says trapped and under a microscope. Every one who comes to her house will be noted. In the end she will punished plenty for a Suspended license probation violation. However, the workers at Lynwood will not!

Do you agree?

Sorry, you are so wrong. It makes the whole legal system look foolish and corrupt. It is beyond unfair. She broke the law. Even thumbed her nose at it. She belongs in jail. If I ever go to jail, I'll gladly go to her place. Great example for your juveniles, break the law and we will let you go home and party. Where do you see punishment here? She is getting beyond preferred treatment. Martha Stewart did her time, she should too. Peace

Will it cost more to jail Paris than someone else sentenced for a probation violation? Probably. But so what? I can tell you it will cost more to imprison a murderer for life than it will to jail Paris does that justify letting the murder out too? How much do you think it costs to protect celebrities like Paris every year? Maybe we should stop the police from protecting and serving celebrities any more than they would any other person. This is ridiculous. Paris Hilton broke the law then repeatedly violated her probation by driving on a suspended license and not admitting herself to an AA class by Feb as required under the terms of her probation. Will it be a little harder on those who run the jail while Paris is there? Maybe a little, but that's their jobs. Im sure its harder on a police officer to investigate a felonious crime than a misdemeanor, but should we suggest they stop investigating felons? If it costs a little more to teach Paris not to drink and drive I think its well worth it when you consider not doing so may cost someone their life in her next DUI attempt.

Now Paris has been released from jail with an ankle bracelet, due to an undisclosed medical ailment, it was said, and I would guess it was due to a lot of powerful pressure from her parents.

I don't wish anyone ill, but I keep thinking what would happen if some Average Jane, caught in the drugs-alcohol world that Paris is in, was sentenced to jail...even with a medical condition.

Jane would be given medical treatment, but you had better believe she would serve out her term and would not have been given a room sans roommates and the special treatment Paris was given.

Paris Hilton is one of the "Children of Privilege" that are making headlines in New York and Hollywood right now. The Brat Pack has grown up and they are the replacements. When they finally become adult...if they ever do..they will realize how shallow and foolish their world has been.

No doubt about it, Paris Hilton received special treatment. But, woe to her if she misbehaves again! Even rich, influential parents will not be able to save her from a prison term. Let's hope this is a wake-up call for this silly girl.

They only limitation is she cant leave her house, so, she has all her booze, drugs and friends there and its party every night. Yes, she got special treatment with the Jail. If that was anyone else, me, you, or some poor person without money, we would be inside the Hilton with vertical sunlight for the time the judge gave us. She is not being punished like you think, many people stay home for days, with her, she is a party animal and yes, watch, the media will report all kinds of fun activities going on. She has made a mockery of the legal system. I am a cop and I think it is wrong for the treatment she got. why cant everyone have the same chance????

She got special treatment ALL THE WAY... Frankly, she would have been thrown in jail ASAP after the second offense. But no, SHE'S PARIS HILTON. If it were anyone else, they would hand cuff her to the hospital bed and then throw her back in when she's done being treated. She got better treatment in the first place...This is just icing on her cake....And I'm sure she threw a little money their way to make her life smoother!

You HAD to know she wasn't going to do the full sentence. Just because her lawyer couldn't keep her out didn't mean that he couldn't get her sentence shortened down even further.

It's sad because I honestly think the full 23 days would've had a profound effect on her, instead, she learned nothing, and will do something stupid in the near future.

Well even people on side walks are not safe maybe i will just stay in my house but yet again she could end up being park in my living room. What a night mare that would be :(

I disagree. She got off easy and if she wasn't who she was she would still be in jail. She's not being punished at all and drinking drunk is no joke. She should at least have to do community service or something.

Those are good points...I never would have thought of it like that.

But she did break the law, and she should have to serve the same time as everyone else would.
