Philosophy is quite thought-provoking and will make you think about something other than bagels.

The purpose of philosophy is to rotate your brain about the universe that you might understand it from many points of view in the hope that your own understanding of yourself may deepen and become more appreciative.

I think because you are bored reading the health section and those frequently asked questions like: Should I trim or shave my pubic hair, why my period is always so late? Is this yeast infection? how often I should masturbate? and so on.
