I have a 1995 Chevy 1500 truck and it started shaking a few days ago after starting it. Today it shook while I was idle, and it also wanted to rev up when I was applying the brake, then when I got to the parking lot, it went out and the dashboard lights came on. That's when the power steering was out and I had to use the emergency brake to park it. What could cause this?

Hi,not enough information.Off hand I would say you have a computer problem on the truck. If this thing started doing all this stuff out of the blue,I think that`s what it is.Some thing got to the computers, thus throwing every thing out of whack.Good Luck my friend.

Lts of things, fuel pump might be bad, maybe it just needs a proper tune up, the fuel injection system might need to be checked for proper operation

It's a Chevy...that's what's wrong. Buy a Ford and it will run longer and last forever.

H-Hunk of junk
E-Eats Ford dust
V-Very Ugly
Y-You know it
