Many soldiers on both sides were given speed on long missions. Bomber pilots, commando's. In Germany it was Pervitin, among GIs it was Benzedrine AKA "bennies".
One source says Hitler was prescribed methamphetamine :
"From 1942, the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler received daily injections of methamphetamine from his personal physician, Dr Theodor Morell. Hitler's ailments have been attributed to everything from tertiary syphilis to Parkinson's disease. But many of The Führer's clinical signs and symptoms may have been caused by his exotic drug regimen."
"In Hitler's Wehrmacht, methamphetamine tablets branded as Pervitin were liberally distributed to German fighting troops throughout the War. Amphetamines are "power drugs" that reduce fatigue, heighten aggression, and diminish human warmth and empathy."

Other sources claim Dr. Morell injected Hitler with cocaine and heroine, while telling him it was "vitamins".
Wikipedia says "a strongly suggested addiction to methamphetamine".
"Adolf Hitler" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler#Health
"In addition, his regular methamphetamine use and possible sleep deprivation in the last, highly stressful period of his life must be factored into any speculation as to the cause of his possible psychotic symptoms as these two activities are known to trigger psychotic reactions in some individuals."
"Adolf Hitler's medical health" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolf_Hitler%27s_medical_health
"One of the earliest uses of amphetamine occurred during World War II when the German military dispensed it under the trade name Pervitin. It was widely distributed across rank and division, from elite forces to tank crews and aircraft personnel. Chocolates dosed with methamphetamine were known as Fliegerschokolade ("flyer's chocolate") when given to pilots, or Panzerschokolade ("tanker's chocolate") when given to tank crews. From 1942 until his death in 1945, Adolf Hitler was given daily intravenous injections of methamphetamine by his personal physician, Theodor Morell, as a treatment for depression and fatigue. It is possible that the Parkinsons-like symptoms which developed from 1940 onwards were related to his use of methamphetamine."
"After World War II, a large supply of amphetamine, formerly stockpiled by the Japanese military, became available in Japan under the street name shabu (also Philopon (pronounced ヒロポン, or Hiropon), its tradename there."

I have read that the SS soldiers used amphetamines and were able to stay up longer march greater distances and become better soldiers and that Hitler eventually had scientist experiment with it and they found a stronger more aggressive formula with Meth-amphetamine (crank) Hitler also noticed that it made a person irritable, psychotic sometimes, and Paranoid. I Think he first experimented with it on the Jews some of the Jews from the concentration camps said "I was tired but couldn't sleep, Hungry and couldn't eat" The Japanese after the war were strung out on dope up to 500,000 of them I think Adolph a hand in that also but I cant say he himself ever used i would say no he didn't

No. In both cases your brother is thinking of Pervital, which Hitler used compulsively and was indeed distributed to troops. It's actually still on the market in Germany. Now it's over the counter since it just contains caffeine as an active ingredient. It's like No-Doze. In Hitler's day it contained lots of caffeine and a small quantity of benzedrine. Our troops used bennies in much larger dosages, particularly paratroopers. They were called goofballs, since they were large spherical white pills. After the war - they still weren't regulated - they were dumped on the army surplus open market and became an instant success with long-distance truck drivers. They in turn spread it across the country. It became a national craze and even inspired a type of fast jazz called bop. Similar to dexedrine. No,Hitler didn't do meth.
