With an OEM cooling fan that sounds about right.

I have the same processor & it runs between 88~93 degrees. I can control some of the cooling through the bios ~ i.e.~ the fan speed , shut down temp ,warning beep, ect. I think 100 degrees is a lil hot & could run you in to trouble. add a case fan & cool it down some. Its just what i would do...good luck to ya.

Yeah, that is normal. Your Pentium 4 2.66Ghz (Northwood) specifies a maximum case temp of 75°C or 167°F, so you are very far from the danger zone.

whats that in celius? oh right i just found out, nothing wrong there at all, if anything your room temp is a bit high but your computer doesn't seem to be suffering, CPU's get supprisingly warm don't they? well nothing to worry about I over clocked my 3Ghz proccessor to 4GHz and it runs hotter than that and it hasn't gone down the drain yet!

Yes. that is why new PC's have such massive fans. Because of increased usage of video card etc... PC's get hot. A good fan system will prevent overheating.

That doesn't seem too crazy high for that cpu.

The room temp does.
