We have to make sure neither one gets the nomination. Giuliani is no better than Juan McCain on illegal-immigration. He's come out in favor of illegal aliens (They're necessary for our economy nonsense) and bringing even more immigrants in.
Ron Paul is our only hope. We have to make sure he's nominated and then elected.

I'll vote for a third party candidate,or if he's a moron, no one at all. Illegal means illegal, period. We need to close all the borders right now or we'll have more terrorist acts than we can handle. Homeland Security can't do enough to protect us. We need to protect ourselves by not voting for anyone who is pro illegal aliens.

I am a conservative, not a Republican.
One thing is for damn sure, I WON'T stay home. Given the choices you have listed, I will have to decide between the Democrat and a third party. Probably the third party will get my vote.
But, you'll have to wait a while, nothing is set in stone yet and I won't really get into it strong until this time next year. Give them some time, there are still gallons of blood to be let on this campaign.
So far Mickey Mouse is a very realistic write in.

although they are not perfect, they both have good attributes:
Guliani will be tough on terror, tough on crime, he is definitely a fiscal conservative, and will nominate good judges to the supreme court. And I think he could win a blue-state, New York.
McCain voted against the Medicare Prescription program, one of the few republicans bold enough to do so. He'll do what's right in Iraq, he's pro-life.
I don't think either are ideal conservatives, but I would vote for either of these two if they were running against any of the current democrats running for President.
ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

Staying at home should never be the plan of any involved citizen.
I am not completly in agreement with either Rudy, who I disagree with on the abortion issue, or Sen. McCain, who I believe was wrong on immigration, campaign finance, and a few other things.
That being said, I think that it is seldom, that you will agree with any candidate on any issue. It is therefore important to vote for the candidate who most closely reflects the views of the person voting. So, if one of them recieved the nomination, I would happily vote for them.
A politician once said, "If you agree with me on more than half of the issues vote for me. If you agree with me on seventy percent, campaign for me. If you agree 100% , have your head examined."

I REALLY hope that doesn't happen. But if it did, it would depend on who the other candidates were. If Lieberman was the dem candidate (I know he's not running) I would vote for him. There isn't any in the current field of dems I would vote for over McCain or Giuliani. Who knows about third party. That also depends on who it is and where they stand on the issues (especially immigration).

McCain? Vote third party.
Giuliani? Hold my nose and vote for him.
It is a LONG way to the selection of official candidates.
Why bother discussing this NOW?
A lot is going to change between now and August 2008!

Hope it's Giuliani. I will NOT support McCain because of his stands on illegal immigration and McCain-Feingold.

If it is McCain, I'll cry and vote for damn near anyone but him.
If it is Giuliani, I'll cry and might vote for him; I'm not sure. Both of their foreign policies scare the crap out of me.
It needs to be Ron Paul. He's the only Republican that won't waste our money on senseless wars, and he's the only candidate PERIOD who won't rob the American people of our rights. If I can't vote for Ron Paul, I'll be angry.
