Hello, my CD Rom drive is no longer working, and I would like to back up all my files before taking the computer in. Is there a way to do this without the CD drive? It is about 20GB.

Yes, you can get USB flash drives. A 4 GB flash is around $25. You don't need to back up your program files, you can reinstall them. Just do your data files and email contact addresses, etc. If it is only the CD Rom drive you will not lose your hard drive anyway though.

you can always back the files up to an Ipod but i do not think that it would work if ur using them for restoring your computer to certain points. You can also use an External harddrive
