You know people mistakenly think that familiarity is somehow boring. However, there is an unmistakable magic in knowing how, when, where with an individual and working to get better and better at pleasing them and having all the time in the world to do it. Its a sort of luxurious passion as opposed to some sort of frenetic thing. There is also the intense intimacy that builds through the years and can make things positively breathtaking in a way that a short term thing cant do. I think its possible and preferable to have one life long partner for all these reasons and so many more.

Some people can. I think there are two different types of people in this world. Those that love the newness of a relationship/sex and love that "In Love Feeling" and those that long for that being loved feeling and the comforts of a secure loving relationship. If you are one of the first type - you will have a problem committing being with just one person. The second type can be with the same person til death do us part...

Absolutely. Sex is important in a marriage but it's probably about 3rd or 4th behind honesty, communication, and resolve. It's funny when people leave their spouses because the sex is better (of course that's not what they say but most of the time it is the sex), but after the sex gets old, they want their spouse back because things were better. Maybe the sex wasn't as good or fulfilling but the relationship as a whole was better. Don't get me wrong, sex is important but I think too many people put too much stock into it. It feels great, but so does getting drunk and getting high but people live without doing either every day...

If you really care for that person then yes, but if its just for a fun time then that person doesn't deserve to be treated that way. I have been sleeping with the same person for six years so my answer is yes, you can sleep with the same person.

Definately, if you have found the right person that is. If we all just rested on our laurels and did nothing to keep the passion alive, then we would all lose the passion in our lifelong love relationship. The key is keeping things hot and spicey in bed (games and such stuff) and communicating and working through any emotional problems.

Yes you can. If you choose to. Evberything we do is a choice. We choose to love this person over another. We choose to overlook their faults. Therefore we can choose to stay married to the same person for the rest of our lives.

I'm 2nd wife for my husband, so you might ask 'how do you know this time is forever?' I don't know, and I think no one knows, but I confide in him and in my love; I give him my love, patience and fun, and smiles and hunger ... and love again. If I thought it's a waste of time, I would have never promised to sleep (and dream :-) ) with him for the rest of my life.
