I know, drinkers and pot smokers smell too- but cigarette smoke lingers and literally sticks to the skin, hair, nails, and teeth of a smoker- yet, they seem oblivious as they defend their stinking habit.

They take a piece of paper (or other weird wrap) with some dry or sticky mess in it and light the end, then stick it in their mouth and suck on its fumes.
Do you really think they care about their appearance after doing that?
They think because they get laid that makes them special. Fat sloppy idiots in maximum security prisons get laid too. Do you think it makes them any more attractive?
From the answers so far you notice how little they care about their own life or the lives of others. They are despicable people.

No they don't realize it. I was a smoker for 30 yrs, just recently quit. I can hardly stand the smell of them anymore. I even picked up the smell of another drivers cigarette while sitting at a stop light the other day. Smoking dulls the senses of taste & smell I believe, they both seem enhanced now that I've quit.
I wouldn't be so quick to defend drinkers & tokers either, as the smell really lingers on them too. Heavy drinkers, you can smell booze on them when they sweat even. Tokers, they're just fat & happy & don't care what they smell like. :)

As a former smoker I can tell you two things. One that I really could not smell it until after I quit. And, two there is a variation in the odor. Since I have quit, I have noticed that some smokers smell really rank, the smell is really strong, but on others I don't notice it at all! *sm*

Riiiight, I think my girlfriend would have to disagree with you one that one. We had this little talk the other day. Do like when you kiss someone that has the breath the smells like a dirty diaper? She had and she realized that the cigarette kills the germs that promotes bad breath. I've noticed it too. The only bad breath it won't kill is that which you get when you have an infected tooth.
My close doesn't smell and neither does my fingers unless I've been using them for other things. Did you know that many women smell a lot worse than people who smoke? I own a tattoo shop and you have no idea who smells bad until you work on someone who doesn't bathe.

sure i know how undesirable it smells. what you like us to stand out section and look forward to it to positioned on off? if so yeah longer smoke breaks then! ;) it does stink and that i smoke 8 months out of the 300 and sixty 5 days. yet i'm no longer likely to no longer smoke in view which you think of it stinks. i propose if it incredibly became that straightforward to end for me a minimum of I woudln't be smoking. although i think of i'd desire to grant up smoking when I get prego! :) then i'm going to have authentic motivation to like it mroe than something. yet desirable now i prefer to smoke. have you ever walked out section these days landfills stink. cow crap stinks. they nevertheless crap tho! boy do they! pass to abeach and breath interior the sparkling fishy air! AWWW so clean! i wish you notice what i'm getting at. sure maximum human beings understand. i think undesirable whilst i pass as much as a non smoker after smoking. I do attempt to air out rather to be superb yet over all. some human beings basically stink besides.

Smell is not used as a defense for smoking any more than it is used for a justification of your choice in perfumes, rolling in cat litter or whether or not you bathe after sex. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen and Nevada gaming casinos or taverns as well as we smokers do not attend your schools, churches or California yuppie meetings. We find the smell of intolerance just as repugnant as your mantle of self-righteousness as it sticks to your clothes and attitude but does thankfully warn us not to loan you any money as we pay more taxes than you do and gives us the option to flick you off as we would any other ash.

No, the cigarettes pretty much knock out the sense of smell. I didn't notice it till I quit. Started up again but getting ready to quit again. The addiction is fairly strong.

To answer your question I would have to say that no, they do not realize how horrible they smell.
Who cares what they smell like? If they want to smell the that then that is their right to do so. Much like it is your right to be b**chy.
While I am a non-smoker and cannot stand the smell of it I would gladly take a woman who smoked over a woman who b**ched any day.
The smoker can always take a shower and brush her teeth. You, well, you'll always be a b**ch.

No, and that's their right until cigarettes are banned.
But they are oblivious to how they make the clothes, hair, nails, etc., of people who live with them smell!!
