Daytona isn't even a hour away Tamps is about 1.5 hours but not worth going I would say coco beach or Daytona would be your best bet you can get to Daytona in about 45min- hour besides its rain season now not worth going to any beach however Orlando has alot of fun things to do, alot more fun then a cloudy day at the beach.

There are very few rainy days at the beach in the Sunshine State. Late afternoon thunderstorms may pop up, but you'll get plenty of sunshine during the day. If you want to people watch and do some surfing, take the Beachline toll road to Cocoa Beach or I-4 to Daytona. If you want to get away from it all, I highly recommend Canaveral National Seashore, east of Titusville (north of Cocoa). All within an hour of Orlando. Many of the Gulf Coast Beaches are beautiful and offer killer sunsets, but it will take a little longer to reach them.

Cocoa Beach is about an hour to the east on the Beachline Expressway (SR 528)
Daytona is about 1.5 hours away east on I-4. New Smyrna, about the same, but a little to the south.
The Gulf Beaches to the west are 2 hours away on I-4 West then I-275.

depending on where you are in Orlando the nearest beach will either be Cocoa (take 528 east) or New Smyrna Beach (take 1-4 East). Again, depending on where in Orlando your starting point is, your driving time could be around one hour or even possibly slightly less.

Daytona to the east and Tampa Bay to the west. Orlando is almost exactly in the middle of the state.

Cocoa Beach is the nearest beach to Orlando... South Beach Miami is two and a half hours away, Daytona Beach is an hour and a half away, and Tampa/St. Pete is an hour and a half away...

None, Orlando is inland. You can be in the Tampa Bay area in a hour-ish. To the other side of Tampa where Tarpon Springs and such areas are maybe 1.5 hours.
