I believe it is EPT and some other name-brands that says it *could* give a positive result a couple of days prior to when your period is due - but I haven't heard of too many women who have success with getting a positive result this early.
Your best bet is to wait until the day of your period or a few days after, the longer you can wait the better the chance it will detect the pregnancy if you are pregnant. And always follow the instructions! Always use first morning urine for the best chances at getting an accurate result.
You could ask a doctor to perform a blood test, which might show it even earlier, but most physicians won't order it because there is no real value in knowing that early.

Hi! I had mine on May 13 and found out that I was pregnant last Saturday June 9th. I used the Clear Blue Easy Digital and it showed up. The other pregnancy tests didn't until a few days later. Hope I helped!

If your cycle is usually around 28 days, then you are already late. I would grab a good quality (not $1 shop) and test with your first pee of the day. if it is negative, then I would go into the doctors and ask for a blood test, just to be sure.
A good quality pregnancy test will show on the first day of a missed period (and sometimes before for those eager people out there like me! lol!! who feels pregnant and cant wait another day!!)
Goodluck!

Well my very first day of my last period was May 14 also, and I had a positve result by both blood and urine on June 8th, my period wouldnt be scheulded to start until june 11th. I used a early pregnancy test that said I can test as early as 5 days before a missed period.
good luck

Depending on HCG levels it could be now, but not likely. I would wait until you are at least one day late for your next period then test. Even if it comes out negative wait a couple more days and test again. you sound very excited or scared. If excited then i hope you are pregnant if not i hope your not.
I know my husband and i tried for just over 4 months to get pregnant and i bought a bunch of tests from online in bulk and took tests frequently then we were down to the last two so i used them more sparingly. We got the positive with one left over. We miscarried a week before Christmas, then the doc gave us the go ahead to have sex and try again and i used the last test and it was positive again, we are now 6 months pregnant with a baby and she is healthy.

I showed positive with ept at 7 dpo...it depends on your hcg levels. The Internet has some test that show positive with levels as low as 20. I had very faint positive lines at 7 dpo, so I took a digital test to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I am now 6 weeks. It sounds like you should be able to test within the next few days. I conceived on Mother's Day and tested positive on May 20.

Pregnancy tests are most effective when done on the day you are due to start your period. They work by detecting the HCG hormone (produced during pregnancy) in your pee.
HCG is present in your system before your period, but the amount inside you may not be high enough to be detected by a pregnancy test and you may get an incorrect result.

If you are pregnant it will show on a test as early as 10 days before your period if your hormones are raging enough. Most test claim that 5 days before is your best bet which would mean you should try the test now actually.

it depends how long your cycle is. anyways a menstrual period is considered late if it is 5 or more days overdue according to your usual pattern of periods. so take the test about 5 days after your missed period.
