my friend & me do have a distinct difference.... shes like a prep & im like punk-- for lack of better words. (i dont like 2 use labels) so we were thinking i would dress in all like hollister and she would one day decide to get stuff at hot topic...... i would put on like pink lip gloss & black mascara.... like really natural makeup... & she would wear like black eyeliner. i think that would be rlly funny except wen we go trick-or-treating no one would know.

cute but hot - try misfit faerie or fairy licious vamp - they look great & you can be totally different from anybody else you know. they've got an evil pixie that's cool - you could do the dark makeup like you like & get a pair of black patent boots with the platform & chunky heels, wear fishnet stockings...
anniescostumes.com has a graveyard fairy or a goth rockin fairy, too. Check PartyCity too or Halloween Express, they usually have a great selection of costumes.
If ya'll go with being each other - which sounds really cute - you could wear a wig so your hair would match hers.
Have a great time & a lot of fun!!!

You and your friend being each other is a great idea, as long as you two have a distinct difference (i.e. - she loves to play a sport, and you love to shop).
Avril Lavigne would be funny. If you have long-ish blonde hair, just straighten in with a flatiron or use Herbal Essence's straightening product. Wear black eyeliner and a nude lip. Try finding (or making) a white fitted tee with the canadian flag on it, plaid capris/bermuda shorts, and Chucks or Vans. Be sure to stack some cuffs and bracelets.
You know, you and your friend could dress up as different "girlfriends" from her new video.
If you want to be the dead cheerleader, make sure you know your measurements! Some costumes can be tried on, and some can't. That would be a very simple costume that you could spice up with torn fishnets, some spattered blood, and some fake wounds (try cutting one end of a foam football, and attatching with fake skin, add blood). Use blue, black, and green matte eyshadow for bruises. Smear your lipstick, etc.
Another "hot but funny" costume I like is the Little Bo Peep costume. You could always go Goth with it, or have a friend dress up as the sheep (preferably a guy!)

here's some ideas: bo-peep a fairy a marionette doll (with the red circle cheeks, curled hair, a flouncy dress, vivid eyelashes and strings attached of course) a facebook/myspace page (use cardboard) someone from a certain time period 50s,60s,70s,80s(very fun!) or from medieval/rennaissance commonly known fictional charachter or a fairytale character-Rapunzel, etc. This one is pretty cheesy but one of you could string small ceral boxes on a piece of rope then stick forks thru the boxes and wear it around your neck (hence THE CEREAL Killer)get it?? Yeah that one might be to "gay" for you (since 13yr olds who do matching costumes are) but its just a suggestion.

Be warned! Portraying your friend can be really funny, but be aware that sometimes its NOT always, seeing yourself though others eyes.I'd stick to ideas like a sexyish' Wizard of Oz' Dorothy w/ an axe and a bloody brain and heart in your basket!
