Yes I can believe it, congratulations.
But it never feels as good when we get it from votes, as it does from best answer.
If we had 10% inflation from this time in 1965 untill today, the £500 would be worth in the region of £27,376. We never had an average of 10% inflation or any thing as high as that, so your answer is way way too much.
But well done anyway.

that's kinda funny...kinda like finding a stale Twinkie at the back of the bread box, a doleful sort of glee...or like finding a tenner in an old jacket...I kinda get a little thrill from stuff like that as well...people are so rude...Cheers!
