i am not a man of religion, just a question, you claim to be concerned for the lives of american soldiers, but yet you defend the act of abortion, and particial birth abortion,i.e.,the killing of unborn american babies, and the killing of particiatly born american babies, who decides when a child has life, and who is in charge of bestowing life on a child,do you not agree that a unborn child is a mass of living tissue, and are we not all a living mass of tissue,so how do you claim to be concerned for the living mass of tissue of an american soldier who volunteer to be a soldier, but defend the right of those who choose to kill the living mass of tissue that is an american baby, but does not have a say in its own death!

i nor you have the right to use law to force beliefs on others,so why are others using law to force anti war beliefs on others,i do not agree on the death of one american soldier, but at times war is necessary whether we like it or not,and yes oil is necessary, whether we like it or not.

the american government has not killed 650,000 iraqis, that is at the hads of muslims, not american troops,as for vietnam, those deaths fall on the hands of democrats who forced american troops out of vietnam, and left the civilians defenseless, and at the mercy of the communist, has they attempt to do the same to the iraqi civilians!

democrat/liberals,do not see the living mass of an unborn child,as life,as that of an american soldier, but they do see the life of an enemy(muslim) more important than that of an american soldier!

i am not forcing any beliefs on you, they are questions, but if as you say a fetus that not support its self outside of the mothers body, has no say,i say fine, but my point is if a human body can not support its self outside of the mothers body, than why do you force your beliefs on me,to provide for this body,i.e. welfare, you have your opinion of life, and i of mine, the question is can we come to an agreement,on whats best for the nation, and us as americans?

Abortion is a necessary evil more lives could end up being destroyed if abortion wasn't an option. For example a woman who wants an abortion WILL get an abortion even if it means going to Mexico to doctor without credentials and a dirty clinic. Most of the times this is suicide or would mutilate the woman's sex organs. You should see the movie the Crime of Father Amaru. This debate isn't one based on religion but one based on truth about life. Soldiers dying in Iraq is unnecessary and uncalled for. They are dying for oil and it is morally and ethically wrong.

"i nor you have the right to use law to force beliefs on others"
Except that's just what you're trying to do here. It is your belief that life begins at conception. It is my belief that life begins at viability. I feel that up until the point at which the fetus can survive outside of the mother's body, it is still just a potential human being, not a human being. These are beliefs, neither more or less valid than the other. It is not a matter than can ever be decided factually, as there is no absolute definition as to what is a human being. But you are trying to force your belief that it is a human being on me. Please stop being a hypocrite, and then we can have a serious discussion.

I am not for partial birth abortions. I am for a woman's right to choose. I do not believe that a firtilized zygot is qualified to be considered human life. Brain activity does not begin in the fetus until the later part of the second trimester. I beleive that should be the legal stopping point for abortions with the exception of when the mother's life is at stake. I am probably the MOST LIBERAL MAN ON THIS SITE.
How do you rationalize while it is such a horrible sin to not carry the product of incest or rape to term that it is OK for the country to send our children to kill and die for the profit margins of huge corperations. They volenteer to protect our country, the use of them as soldiers of others forune is a direct abuse of their patriotic intent.

Here is my stand. I don't give a damn about yours or anyone else's but since you asked. Here goes:
I personally am opposed to abortion of any kind at any level. However I also believe it is not my business what someone else does with her body. Her decission needs to be made between herself, her physician and her God (gods) as needed. If she is under 18 she should not need her parent's permission but they should be informed in a manner of offer of help for her and her parents who may have screwed up somewhere in raising a child who would be put into such a situation or in the case of rape as well, to help comfort her.
While my own convictions are opposed to abortion I will say that if one must have it done I would rather see it done in a clean, well lit clinic done by medical professionals rather than with a coat hanger in a dirty and dark alley.

I am a Democrat...the war sucks...so does partial birth abortion....I am not even sure how someone that is pro-choice can condone such a barbaric act. As for the baby's right to choice...the baby cannot make an informed decision, so therefore has no right to choice.

WOW that first answer might be the most heartless thing I ever read. Oh, and my mom that is hooked up to a ventilator yet is 100% fully aware of her situation, should she have no say either? Oh and too Kobain below me, 650,000 is the # killed by suicide bombings and insurgents in the name of religion. Quit blaming the U.S for other peoples evil decisions. U.S troops aren't walking into towns and massacering people. IT happen once and they went to trial. Do you see the courts of Islam trying to bring insurgents to trial?

Well I am not a Liberal or Conservative and I believe in Pro-Choice. It's not a choice I would like my girlfriend or wife to make but I believe in her right to choose. Just like a soldier has the right to sign up into the military.
I believe a baby in the womb is life but guys whack off all the time. Is not sperm life? I don't see people arguing against that. You wear a condom or take birth control, are you not killing life? People are hypocrites, that's all.

THAT was easy.
