Firstly you'll need a work visa. Check with the US Embassy in London they'll have all the info you need. Be prepared to wait at least a couple of years before you get anything near your visa.

Ignoring the VISA factor everyone's so fixated on, getting a job in retail or in a casino is actually pretty easy, and highly coveted because they offer the best medical and vacation benefits. They'll require a 10-year work history with verifiable references and they'll do an extensive background check. They're also going to check your credit. You can expect to make between $7 and $15 per hour (US) depending on where you work. Higher end casino (like Bellagio) is going to pay more than lower end (like Casino Royale).

BTW, it's much easier to get a management job if you have a marketing or business degree. Most employers wil offer tuition assistance if you want to further your education, as well.

Easy
I live here now from the east coast of the US.
I have a job and happy.
As the guy told me two years ago in the bar
If you are willing to work and not stupid you can always get a job and keep a job. His comments were so poinent.
Did well and continue to advance.
Best decision ever made for me.
You will be so happy.

It is very difficult to get a visa. You need to be either sponsored by an employer or have more than $1 million. They only give visas to people who work in areas that have shortages i.e. teachers, nurses, doctors, IT, skilled work.

There are loads of books on the subject.

You could try applying but if they were to issue a visa it would take years to come through.
