I'm a Jays fan, but I wouldn't be so quick to choose Burnett. True, he's almost unhittable when he has his best stuff, but he loses focus far too often, and that leads to big innings. Wang doesn't have Burnett's stuff, but he does a better job of keeping the ball down and is less likely to walk 2-3 guys in an inning.
It's just too bad the Jays couldn't have both of these guys - that would make for a nice rotation.

Aj Burnett is far more impressive, when he's healthy. In his 9 year career he's had only two seasons so far where he's pitched over 200 innings. But when he's on, he can be dominating.
Chien-Ming Wang on the other hand doesn't impress me at all. He doesn't have overpowering stuff and relies a little too much on the defense. Last year was a fluke, he pitched ok, but got a lot of run support which help get him 19 wins. But I doubt he finish this season with a winning record. He's all smoke and mirrors.

Hey, Wang came cose to a no-hitter himself don't forget. I'd take Wang over Burnett any day of the week. Don't get me wrong, Burnett has tons of potential, and his K's are absolutely sick, but his ERA is always high and he just isn't the #1 or even #2 guy that people make him out to be. Besides, he doesn't pitch to contact. He pitches to strike guys out. He's never done it differently. Wang, on the other hand, is crafty, and exposes the weaknesses in every batter he faces. Low K numbers are meaningless when you rack up 15 or more wins, eat innings, and keep your cool during the game.

The last 2 seasons Wang has outperformed AJ by a lot. He's younger and makes less $. So, your argument about pitching a no-hit is ludicrous and narrow-minded

I take AJ because look at his last 2 games. He has thrown 25 strikeouts and has an excellent ERA
BTW, I hate that the blue jays can't get their offense going when burnett pitches. He has been excellent the last few games, but losses have come because of the offensive productivity. This guy deserves the wins. Byfar one of my favourite blue jays pitchers (other than doc and McGowan has really picked it up!!!)

You see kid when it all boils down to it, it doesn't matter if it's a no hiter or not as long as you win the game that is their job the no hiters are just extra bonus that happens from time to time ...... not enough to realy count .... Wang had 18 wins last year, what did AJ have ?

There is a 45 year old "god" of a pitcher (in most eyes) that has never pitched a no hitter...Roger. So, throwing one is obviously a big deal. But to say one game makes a pitcher, then give me Chan Ho Park please.
That said, I'll take a strike out man any day. Who cares if he's injury prone, I can make him a closer.

Well, that was a dumb remark. He can actually pitch a no hitter....C'mon dude.
Both are extremely talented, but I'd go with Wang, younger and a bigger upside.
