When I was at school we read a book about some children who were sent to stay with relatives in Ireland. While they were they they kept having flashbacks to the potato famine. I really enjoyed it, and I would like to find a copy of it, but I can't for the life of me remember the title. I'm pretty sure the author's first name was Mary, but I don't know the surname. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

The book is called Black Harvest by Ann Pilling. I read it when I worked in a school library. Its a really good read. Marita Conlon-McKenna also wrote about the Famine, but set during the period and there are no flashbacks. Hope this helps.

You may like to try this site....

If can remember even one word of the title and then include the name Mary in the author section, its very likely you will find it.

Good luck!
