I am laying tile in my bathroom. How thick does my adhesive (Duraset Adhesive Glue ) have to be?

With all due respect you should use a polyblended thin set Mortar, not a mastic, and it should be applied with a 1/4 inch tooth flat blade knife/trowel

diy doc is right....you need to use mortar. make sure it has acrylic added to it. this helps it become sticky. Make a small batch of mortar at a time. This way if it sets off too early, you wont waste a bunch. Levels, sponges, buckets, patience.....

it should be like half as thick as the tile... you should use grout, it works better with grout sealer... thats what my family uses..
