10y² / ( 5y² +10y )
= 10y^2 / 5y(y + 2)
The factor 5y in the denominator divides into 10y^2 giving 2y in the numerator.
The answer is therefore:
2y / (y + 2).

10y/(5y^2 + 10y)

The numerator can be written as (5y)(2y)
The denominator can be written as (5y)(y + 2)

Cancel out the 5y s and your answer is:

2y/(y+2)
