depending on the circumstances nope... i call him some pretty cute names and i think that "the missus" is cute =)

but a word of advice - don't go and tell her that you asked on yahoo and everyone here thinks it is okay... that might upset her... you could ask her why it bothers her or if there is some other way she would like you to refer to her.... =)

good luck mr. =)

As the wife, she is the missus. It's not his fault she regrets getting married.

it depends on in what context. like if i was being introduced to someone and he just said "this is the missus" i'd be like "i have a name!" but other times it would be cute

Absolutely NOT... I love when people refer to me by putting Mrs. in front of his name...and from time to time, that is how we say "goodnight." He enjoys being called "my husband" and I enjoy being called his "wife." Now, if he said, "the old ball and chain," that might cause a problem! (smile)

No. "My ol' lady" would offend me, but "the missus" is cool.

No, because I would take it as a term of endearment - maybe some younger girls here would think it is sexist, but Im fine with it (Im 34) so Im not that old but I think its quite acceptible.
