nothing truly worth having is easily gotten. Go for the gusto, or regret it all your life. There is no shame in failing, there is only shame in never having tried.

Try to do both: follow your dreams *and* have a "reasonable" life.

At 60, I appreciate how important pensions are for your last 20+ years. Don't make that common mistake of young people, ignoring your inevitable future. But as a freelance writer, I also know it's just as important to act on your dreams. It's nuts to constantly postpone those things you really want to achieve.

Follow your dreams for the next couple of years. But before you start that, make a workable plan to finish your education and get a job with a pension. When you're plan's ready, tell your family what you're going to do. Believe me, dreams come true a lot easier when your loved ones back you.

Be loyal to yourself first and foremost!

Your family does not live in your skin. But you do all of the time for the rest of your life.

I advise that you choose to do what brings you the most sense of aliveness!

Also, I think it would be very helpful to bring a positive attitutde toward your dreams.

Instead of saying 'they are hard to fulfill' change that to 'I easily and effortlessly fulfill my dreams', 'the universe always provides me with everything I need', and such.

I find that everything is easier when I focus on these type of thoughts and images. If you don't believe these affirmations just say to yourself 'imagine that ...'

Good Luck!

You can do it!

I recommend the book The Artist's Way...do what you dream about. The book can help you follow the path. It really opened me to a whole new way of thinking and embracing my dreams (even the seemingly crazy and impossible ones.)

You have to work your way to what you want, unfortunately that means doing something you don't like WHILE WORKING toward what you want. Aim for your goal but work till you get there, good luck!
