No, all babies do not get it. I have three kids and only one has had it but having a baby with colic is hell! It turned out that my son had many food allergies and that was some of what the dr believed caused the colic. He had tubes put in his ears at 11 months and all of the sudden we had a different baby. As far as preventing it, I have found nothing that is proven to prevent. Breastfeeding is supposed to help and if you do use formula try a soy based as that was the only one we could use. This may sound weird but a baby chiropractor helped us alot to.

Nope, not all. Babies get colic for no apparent reason. I don't know of a prevention.
My daughter got it. She had some food issues. Too many liquids...fissures and diarrhea. Soy formula + iron and then I added some baby cereal a few weeks later. In the interim, I wore overalls, carted her around, constantly and ran the vacuum to get her to sleep. When that didn't work, I put her in the car, played LedZeppelin and drove her. Why that stuff worked? Beat's me, but it did. (She was fond of classical, in utero, didn't work after birth) Well, sometimes. She was a PITA for six months, then she was a breeze, until she was about 11
Sidenote - the kid could sing/hum all the melodies from Kashmir and D'yermaker before she said a word!

Of course not, colic is an awful thing for baby and family.
Breastfeeding is supposed to help prevent it other than that I'm not sure, breastfeeding has numerous health benefits that last a lifetime. It also helps the mother too, your uterus shrinks bag to normal size much faster, you loose up to 500 calories a day by simply nursing your baby.
I suggest you do a lot of research before you give birth. There are tons and tons of websites on all aspects of pregnancy, birth and post birth.

No. All babies do not get colic. Neither of mine got colic so I can't tell you how to prevent it other than telling you to keep your stress level down both pre and post pregnancy.

No not all babies get colic...my first son had it terribly and was placed on hypoallergenic formula to stop it..my second had no problems at all..he was one happy content baby!
With my baby he had many food allergies that was what brought on his colic, but I have been researching about acidopholus bacteria (the good for you stuff found in yogurt) and its use in colicy infants..supposedly in studies infants given a supplement of acidopholus had significantly reduced bouts of colic and some had no problems whatsoever after starting this treatment....it so simple to do too! They just got powdered acidopholus and mixed it in the formula or breastmilk then fed the baby....(just to note this is available in liquid form and powdered form at healthfood stores nationwide...I highly recommend using the refridgerated kind to get the highest live content)

None because of the fact colic will ensue regardless. the thought of bottles inflicting it incredibly is because of the fact air bubbles get trapped interior the bottle teat, this could ensue with any bottle in case you do no longer continually have a teat full of milk. i do no longer purchase it, i think of colic is often brought about via an intolerance. So if formulation fed then the dairy interior the formulation in all probability upsets toddler, if breastfed then some thing on your weight-alleviation plan (in many cases dairy, wheat, soya).

Not all babies get it. I'm not sure if there is a way to prevent it. But if they do get it the main ways to help is to give them a different formula (the doctor will advise which one) and to keep them close. They love to be held and rocked in your arms.
