It depends. Is your girlfriend a huge Mets fan who goes to as many games as she can? Has she ever indicated that is something she would like?
Since none of us know what she is like you will have to really think about her personality here. If the Mets tickets are something YOU would like more then she would, I would say go with the clothes. Remember, just because you think it is cool doesn't mean she will.
What you could do is let her choose.
Say, "honey I have two gift choices for you: Season Tickets to the Mets or a shopping spree" (in the amount you would have spent on the tickets).
You could make it really cute,you could create two gift "vouchers" and place them in a pretty box with a bow, then give them to her (but of course she can only 'cash' in one).
That could be a fun idea.

if it were me and you were saying season tickets for the Atheletics or clothing & shoes, I would rather have the A's tix as I am a huge fan. I have a lot of clothing already. But if your girlfriend is not a big fan, you are safer with the clothing and shoes.

Well if she's a big Mets fan, season tickets. If she's more of a girly girl get her some clothes and shoes, or gift card for em. If she's not either, maybe do something different.

haha i can`t believe you`re asking this!!! maybe u don`t know your gf so well...most gals, unless they are sports fans, would probably kill u if u gave the mets tix...i know i would!!! the only thing that would make me happier than a gift of clothing or shoes would be a ticket to see one of my fave bands in concert!!! that would totally rock!!! i hate sports & i know some women feel the same way...i think a lot of women would be happy with a gift of clothing & shoes, but u have to make sure of the sizes, styles, etc....so, if u are asking this question to begin with, it might not be safe for u to choose clothing or shoes either!!! u might be better off buying a gift certificate or giving cash, that way your gf can choose exactly what she wants!!!

The mets if she's a huge fan or something, but girls in general would prefer the clothes/shoes. Get her a gift certificate to her favorite store so she can pick them out herself. That's half the fun, the shopping part.

If your girl is a die hard Mets Fan then the tickets, but if she is not the clothes and shoes.
Its your girl you can get her all off them.

does she LOVE the mets? or is she like me and LOVE LOVE LOVES SHOES? if she lives eats sleeps and breathes mets go for mets tickets. if she's more girly than sporty deffinately something else.

humm it depends on what kind of girl she is.. i'd prefer clothing and shoes though.. my boyfriend buys me clothes and rings and jewlery
