Its really making me sad. I like reading manga and everything but why do they have to end the series its so popular and probabaly makes millions! In the japanese version of the last episode at the end it was talking about more in the future.

Is hard to tell if they will continue with it. It's been over 3 years since the show ended. They did say they have plans to make OVAs for the show though but never announced a release date.

As of now, there is no news that InuYasha will ever start up again with new episodes. However, it is still possible. Basically, the creators stopped with the anime because it had caught up with the manga and they didn't want to continue doing filler episodes like they had been. This was mostly because fans of the manga typically dislike filler episodes. So, instead of doing that, they decided to just stop and let the story continue on in the manga. Considering the last episode aired almost 3 years ago, there has been plenty of time to separate the manga from the anime, thus meaning that they could easily start the anime up again. Whether or not it will happen is up to them, though. Personally, I hope the anime starts again because I don't like how the characters are drawn in the manga.. but that's just me. I hope that helped you out. ^^

The TV series went on for 167 episodes and spawned four major films. Unfortunately, the anime ended before the manga did, thus wrapping up inconclusively. Sunrise Animation has expressed interest in finishing the series through OAVs once the manga series ends, but there are no set plans to continue InuYasha at this time.

i am not sure so don't hold it against me if i am wrong but i have been hearing that they are makeing a fifth movie that is supposed to have the defeat of naraku and inuyasha finally making a choice between kagome and kikyo. but again i am not sure if this is true or not but i really hope it is i think its supposed to be called the final confrontation i can't remember

I have just recently read that they are making the final episodes of inuyasha, i dont know if it is true, it is just what ive heard

I think they ended the anime but hopefully they'll keep writing the manga series. But I was really down when it ended. The ending really sucked. But I think they'll keep writing the manga.

well the way they make it.. yea. i heard that the guy who drew inuyasha was over stressed, thats why in so many of the eps. there were a lot of flashbacks. perhaps he just left it as it was.
