Okay so this is my third time around so here we go.

1. Oil Overheats (smoke from engine)
2. Radiator slightly dirty
3. Car skips/ticks
4. may be a loss of power
5. oil was leaking from oil pressure switch but has been _____________replaced, but car is still ticking.

Questions:
1.Could the cooling system have some sort of sludge that is preventing it from cooling the engine?
2. I've been told to flush the radiator, but I don't think just using water is going to get the gunk out ( I flushed it once and it still looks pretty bad) so should I use one of the acid flushes from auto zone or somewhere?
3. Should I use a enging oil additive to try and reduce the oil overheating, I think there may be a little build up there too (I changed the oil about two weeks ago using mobil one synthetic 5000)

Thats it for now, hopefully this can be resolved. Thanks

Oil in the radiator?
Not a good sign.
Replace it with a Ford, or if you love the car-
GET A NEW ENGINE

Hello again.

Generally oil doesn't "overheat". It leaks onto something hot like an exhaust manifold and burns causing smoke.

Synthetic oil tends to dry out rubber petroleum based gaskets and makes small leaks bigger
You may want to replace your valve cover gaskets with a newer composite blend gasket. (fairly easy job)

The ticking noise you hear is from the rocker arms and valves.
GM uses hydraulic tappets (lifters) that need to be adjusted.
(messy job, but should be done while you're changing the valve cover gaskets anyway)

I suggest buying a Chiltons manual for your car.
They cost about $20.00 and WELL worth the price.

As far as the cooling system, a replacement radiator $190.00 may be your best bet if it's the original radiator in your car.

I'm glad your oil pressure switch fixed that issue...

Sounds like a bad head gasket, especially with your radiator fluid being dirty.Sounds like oil and carbon are getting into the radiator. Another problem may be bad ring seal. How many miles on the engine?

have the radiator rodded out if you can afford it.
try rislone engine additve, it will stop the smoking
and power up the car.try and tighten down the valve cover gaskets. check out the link for rislone products:

sounds like an internal problem, valves, push-rods, lifters, try a good tune-up and a thicker oil.
