I have heard lots of questions about Cena. Cena haters, Cena lovers. I don´t hate Cena, but I don´t love him either. I don´t like the way he acts. He is supose to be a Face, a Good guy, a Role model for the children, kids, young adults and such.

Ok, with that in mind. When I was growing up, people who acted the way he does, were in to doing drugs, listening to head bangers heavy metal, running around with gangs, stealing, beatting people at random. I mean stuff that don´t make any since.

If he is supose to be a good guy, then why does he act like that?

The anti-hero. I remember how much Canada used to be such a big part of wrestling, or at least the story lines. With guys like Edge, Jericho, and Hart. Men that were usually villians, were cheered once back in Canada, and no amount of commentating could hide that fact.

There's something appealing about the villian.

But in regards to Cena, you have to look at wrestling's history, think of characters such as Steve Austin. He was supposed to be a heel, but then the audience just hated Jake the Snake so much, because of his new found love of God, that they turned on him, and then Austin got over with the fans. Then came his total disrespect for Vince McMahon, who at the time was making his transition from commentator to actual public owner of the WWF/WWE.

Anti-heroes have been the norm in wrestling for a while, look at The Rock, he was a villian forever and even when he was a supposed face, the people booed him, and when he turned to a heel and mocked the fans. The fans cheered. And it's not a recent novelty, it even stretched back to Ric Flair, he has always been known as a cheat, a womanizer, but people still loved him and his Four Horsemen.

Wrestling isn't always as cut and dry as good guys are like this, and bad guys are like that. It's a question of what do the fans want. And fans are very critical and they are more intelligent on the workings behind wrestling than in days past. And the fans relate to him.

because wrestling is all acting now.. you cant suppose that they are actually being thrown through tables and stuff.. i mean cmon someone may die out there.. but yeah he sort of has to be that way to keep up with what the association wants him to do ... i dont think that's really him... i saw him on ESPN and he was laughing and joking with the reporters.. its just his ego on T.V.
