Never tried (who would anyway ? :) ) but in theory, yes, as the LAN cable from your G/F's PC is now driving out a DHCP assigned address, this go into the WAP and it would just broadcast the network, while the ICS will still uses the DHCP to assign IP to each new computer that comes into the network.

Yes, there is. It was the way I had connected to the internet for years.

You need to use an older Apple Airport Extreme Base Station (dome shaped) - as those models have 56k modems built into them. Just run the software included with the router, and setup your dialup connection. You can then use that utility to wirelessly tell your router to dial or hang up.

It's a standard WiFi (802.11g) connection, so multiple people can use it at once, and other people don't need to install the software. It's obviously not very fast though, being limited to dialup speeds.

The older models are no longer sold, but I linked to an ebay auction for one below - so you know what to look for.

Another way is by using wireless phone line. You can get it from Walmart or other stores. It comes with 2 units. One unit is plugged into a phone line. Another unit is plugged into any phone or in this case the laptop modem. Then she can dial directly to the dial-up.

provided which you have 2 community interfaces on the gadget related to the cyber web. I usually try this using on the spot and under pressure connections. If the computing gadget is related with on the spot, you may run a twisted ethernet cable from it fairly is hardwired port to that on the different laptop and then proportion the on the spot connection with ICS. Presto, connection on the 2d gadget.
