Not mad at all. Maybe they can use that cell for a child molester or some guy who likes to beat the hell out of his wife. Paris Hilton has no effect on my life at all. The rich have always been a few steps ahead of the rest of us. Hell. A rich guy gave me my first job. I didn't turn down the job because he was rich and his kids were spoiled rotten. If I had to go to jail I would take the same thing Paris is getting. And so would all of you. She's not to blame for being born into a rich family. She's acting like a rich spoiled kid would act. I would trade places with her any day.

The reason she was in jail was DUI and reckless driving. I feel they should have made an example of Paris and given her the harshest punishment allowed. Just because she is rich and famous does not mean she should be allowed to endanger us "peasants". If she had killed someone while driving drunk would her money have brought that person back?! And as to the fact that she had a mental breakdown BIG DEAL. Of coarse she had a breakdown, she's a spoiled brat and all her toys were taken away, that is what we call a temper fit!

I agree. It's outrageous. Aren't most people who have to go to jail or prison "on the verge of a nervous breakdown"? Why don't they let all those people out early? Since when is crying because you can't have your cell phone and not eating your bologna sandwich a "medical condition"? She already had special treatment and was isolated from the general population so she didn't have to worry about any fellow inmates. I was unaware that having to wear an orange jumpsuit and not being able to text message people for a few weeks induces a "mental breakdown".

Sounds like we could have a very interesting conversation! To say I am outraged is an understatement. Let the spoiled little brat out to go home and poor thing has to wear an ankle bracelet, I'll bet daddy had diamonds put on it for her. Makes my gut sick. Do we let others out because they are suffering emotional stress? Who would be left in jail? As for Bush...ME TOO!!! BTW... for you guys who may think I'm only upset because she is rich, no way, my family is from Texas, oil money and all that implies. I have some very wealthy relatives. It is the blatant flipping her nose at the rest of the world that makes me SO sick of her and her spoiled friends.

I think it's more of an outrage that our demented justice system puts people in jail for motor vehicle infractions. No one, not even Paris Hilton, should be put in jail unless they're a murderer, rapist, kidnapper, etc.
By the way, people on here are talking about her horrible crime of getting a DUI and driving without a license. Let's all be honest here. Her alcohol level was .08. Does anyone here understand exactly what that means? That means she could have had just two beers, or one Cosmopolitan. That alcohol level is ridiculously low for anyone to be considered "drunk". That's how unfair our laws are in this country. If we were all being honest here, 99% of us have gone into a bar or club and had two beers. People are acting like Paris did something horrible. I don't consider that horrible.

Of course someone got paid off, it's sick. She committed a crime and should pay the price in full, and not with money. I'm not one to have strong opinions on celebrities considering how messed up the media is but it doesn't take much to know that Paris Hilton is an spolied *****.

yeah it is ridiculous, sad thing is, we can't do jack about it. what i wanna know is, how typical (or not typical) is it for the system to release someone that's having a mental breakdown? isn't jail/prison SUPPOSED to do that to you? i honestly don't believe that they released her because of that. so does that mean if another inmate has a mental breakdown, they're going to release them too? no, i don't think so.
honestly, i really believe that the authorities that let her free was bribed by the hiltons. hundred thousands, if not millions.

ITS CRAP!
Our legal system has, is, and always will be a joke.
And it's not just Paris, it goes for all the celeberties that received less than a hand slap for the same crimes that ruin the lives of anyone else that committed the same offense.

You want to really punish Paris Hilton, don't give her media attention. She would have been just another case going through the system and would be miserable at not being "special".
Paris needs the media.

the system does this all the time to unknown people- the public just doesn't hear about it. The Jails are overcrowded so they let some of them out on house arrest.
