Depending on what is wrong with it. The fan is set to come on when the car reaches a certain temperature. Therefore, it's either the heat sensor, input voltage (maybe bad relay or fuse) or could be that the radiator motor just quit.
A local shop will charge $50 to $75 per hour for labor to check it out whereas a dealership is easily in the $100/hr range, either way, add parts & you are looking at a minimum of $100.
I once had a car that wound up having a break somewhere in the line between the battery & the radiator fan. Could never find it, so I ran a new wire with a relay & put a switch on the dash & just turned it on when it got to the "standard" temp on the gauge. Kind of a pain, but saved me some $ & it was only a $500 car anyway.

That may not necessarily be your problem. A thermostat controls the radiator fan. It should only spin whenever the engine is hot.
Try to test the fan first before replacing, Simply wire it directly to your battery. If it spins then the fan is ok. Look for the problem somewhere else. Might be a blown fuse or defective thermostat.
Brand new replacement is somewhat expensive. But most radiator fan motors for corolla's even if they are different model years are the same. They just differ in the mounts. If the problem is the fan, check out your local junk and used car parts. for a similar fan and use its motor.

You need to check the fan to see if it is bad. Try running a 12v supply to the fan. You can hook it up either way just to test it . If the fan doesnt turn you need to buy a cooling fan. If the fan spins after wiring it direct, you need a coolant temp sensor. If you need to drive it somewhere to pick up the part you can jump the sensor and the fan will run constantly. Simply unplug the sensor and put a single piece of wire from one terminal to the other. Remmember to unplug the wires after you park it because the fan will run constantly with the igntion on or off !!! Hope this helps :)

It could be your fan belt broke or is slipping.
Replace it at once.
Or it could be you have some kind of heat sensor stopping the fan when the motor is too cool.
Lift up the hood then start the car and watch the belts closely if this is indeed the radiator fan or the air conditioning fan.

Well if its just a relay that will be cheap fix. It could also be the coolant temp sensor bad. That's also a cheap fix. If the fan motor is bad that will be well into the Hundreds. (at an repair shop)

check the fan switch, usuall located on the head or radiator(tells the fans to turn on when the water gets hot)or maybe a cooling fan fuse,or your fan motor went out!

you,ll have to take it in and have it checked,it may not cost that much ,but without having it checked ,there's no way to tell whats wrong with it,good luck with it.
