Usually like a day or two. If you went to a clinic they will call you, if you went to a hospital for an emergency they tell you right away.

I waited an hour in the waiting room. The longest hour of my life! Depending on the lab they send it to results should be available no later than the end of the same day.

they really test your urine first. once they confirm that, they do blood tests to check for other things. like hcg levels, protiens, and if your blood is rh positive or neg, for STD's, and a bunch of other crap. they don't test your blood to confirm pregnancy. if they tested your urine, your doc will know in 3 minutes, b/c thats how long the tests takes to confirm(likehomepregnancytests) otherwise, at the end of the day or next day they will know about your blood test.

You usually have to wait, but not very long. Some places have you wait there and others may call you later that day.

It depends on the doctor and the order he/she wrote. My doctor wrote a "stat order" for my blood work. I had my blood drawn in the morning and found out later that same morning.

Why are you having a blood test and not a urine test. I am only asking because when I had a urine test, they told me immediately. I am not sure about a blood test.

technically there are urine pregnancy tests out there where you can detect up to 5 days before your missed period. personally i was 6 weeks along(one missed period) before i took a home test and then double checked with a doctor. it's really personal preference and based on the date of your lmp(last menstrual period)
