For those who don't know, a Troll is a person who answers questions in certain categories such as the above mentioned in an extremely offensive manner. EG: name calling, racial slurs, etc. They do so to get a reaction and to incite.

Please enlighten us, oh great top one.

[Edit: I used it on someone else's question who got an answer from a troll. Now that troll cannot answer my questions (I think) and he cannot access my Q&A list on my profile.

BUT, this is not going to solve the problem.......

Trolls keep asking inflammatory questions and making incendiary answers until enough of us use the "report abuse" tool to cause them to lose their accounts.

THEN, they just make a new account. I don't see how this is going to solve the problem.]

No of course no longer, to apply this could defeat the objective of discussion, it may in certainty cut back heavily the rights of all individuals. i think of purely cowards cover at the back of stuff like this, except of course they have some thing they want to cover. YOu do comprehend the reason of this person blockading? A serial stalker, has been chasing women persons, attempting to intimidate and threaten them. Yahoo replaced into positioned on criminal be conscious and their data would be subpoenaed with the aid of a State AGs place of work for prosecution of this crime. i for my section discover it pathetic that somebody could shop on with women persons around in this internet site and attempt to intimidate them, it fairly is a sparkling sign of incredibly ill individual. besides, no i will't use it, no might desire to.

This does absolutely nothing about the true trolls, who appear here under hundreds of different screen names. It also does not prevent them from asking ignorantly bigoted questions.

So, I can't see the point to it until it can accomplish these things.

i don't know anything about it but i don't like the sound of it. what i like about this site is that anyone can answer a question however they like. some of the trolls are hilarious so it'd be sad to see them blocked. when you post a question you're inviting all answers and opinions, i really don't see the point in blocking certain users.
it'd be really boring without some of the more amusing trolls.

Actually, from what I read it blocks their Access of your questions and answers on your Public Profile page, it didn't say that it stops them from answering your questions in the main body of the category.

Hmmm, I suppose it Does. Someone blocked me and then Slandered me.

I knew about that, and will probably never use it. About the time they get blocked is about the time yahoo deletes their account, they come up with a new one, and the vicious cycle starts all over again...

Only one problem--this is only good while this user is on a particular account. Once a new account is created, you must block them again.
