Does Gasoline Have A Shelf Life?

If I stored a bunch of gas cans, would the gas go bad?
If so, how long would it last?

Apparently. If you have an RV or a boat that you let sit for most of the year unused, you are supposed to add some type of fuel stabilizer to the gas tank so that the gasoline does not separate into different parts.

You might also get some moisture in it from condenstation. Sealing the can to prevent this might be dangerous, because pressure will buld up, and might cause the can to explode.
