Aruba is a constituent country which forms part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is not considered part of the Netherlands Antilles, which consists of Curaçao and Bonaire, Saint Eustatius, Saba and Saint Maarten. The Netherlands Antilles is also a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is similar to how Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England are all constituent countries which form the United Kingdom. Hope that makes sense.

They aren't countries at all. They are part of the colonial empire of the Netherlands. Whether each is administered as a separate colony is up for grabs; I would guess they are administered as one colonial unit.
