No. But running a Qt low in a vehicle that holds 4 Qts is very bad, but one that holds 7 Qts not so bad. Either way you need to check your oil every time you fill up. The loud noise from the muffler is usually cause by a leak/hole. So yes, You need a muffler also.

No it would not make your muffler loud.Sounds like you need a new one.You need to check your oil every day or at least ever other day if you have an older car with over a hundred thousand miles on it.It will crack your heads if you have no oil it in,I used to keep a quart of oil in my car at all time because mine sucked the oil.I just Bought a new car last year and thank heavens no more checking the oil everyday!

The amount of oil in your car is not related to the sound of your muffler. You likely need a new muffler as well.

Being a quart low is not all that bad and would not cause your car to be loud. I would guess you need exhaust work as well.
How many miles has it been since your last oil change? How many miles is it to your next. if you only went a couple of thousand mile since your oil change something is causing the oil to either leak out or burn and it needs to be checked. If its been 4000 miles since then your fine you can actually wait untill you reach the next oil change at 5000 miles and do not need to add. It really depends on when your next oil change is due. General rule of thumb on a quart low is if its 1000 miles or less to next then don't bother to add. If it's more then add and have the vehicle checked next time you change your oil.

The level of your engine oil wouldn't show up in the sound coming through your muffler. Poke a screwdriver around in the rusty spots of your muffler. You have a leak somewhere. Also check the pipe it could be there.

Muffler has no longer something to do with an working situation (meaning...a muffler would not impact overall performance basically sound). As for the artwork that became into executed...if it became right into a working vehicle in the previous, this artwork wouldn't have made issues well worth in the event that they did it properly (which i'm guessing they did no longer). in many cases timing (if it became into executed) is a concern for fool mechanics.

one doesn't have a lot to do with the other, fill the oil back up,and then have the muffler checked it may just be going bad on it,especially if it has a few miles on it,good luck with it.

sounds like its time for a new muffler. sometimes there is just a hole somewhere and it can be fixed without having to replace the whole thing.
