Yea, I have the old Xbox version of Halo 2 and it works just fine. Can even play online. I don't see much of a graphics upgrade using the old game on the new system though. The version for PC just came out as well (after what 3 years guys). Halo 3 awaits, although knowing Microsoft the date will continually be pushed back. Hope this helps.

You can also the play the normal Halo on it as well. You can't play music once you start the game though. You have to activate it before you launch the game. Back to your original question, yes you can play both Halo games on the 360.

The Halo 2 that was released for the PC is not the same as the console games...with the exception of the premise.
