Everything you do or say makes you vulnerable. Either people take your words and actions out of context and twist them, or you make a fool of yourself on your own. This counts for both current actions -- and things you did twenty years ago. You can't escape any of your mistakes... or get past any big huge successes. Johnny Depp will never be Johnny Depp again -- he'll forever be "Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean)" now.

You are under scrutiny all the time.....You have to live upto peoples expectations all the time......You have to take brickbats along with the bouquets whether deserved or not.....Anyone just anyone can have an opinion about you and feel has a right to air it..........Fans feel it is your duty to always welcome them warm smile and open arms since they are your fans and you should never have a bad hair day.........And ultimately fame itself is temperamental, just when it can turn into notoriety noone knows.....When it disappears you fall flat on your face.

"Fame is like a river, that beareth up things light and swollen, and drowns things weighty and solid." FRANCIS BACON
More true now than ever. Is it any wonder that the famous people we see in the media are intellectually vapid?

I can't even go out for a quiet pint without someone sticking a camera in my face, asking for an autograph or wanting to talk to me about my last album.

Total lack of privacy.
Some photographers will actually break through your windows at home trying to take a photo of you while sitting on the toilet.
