Truly understanding forever is beyond the grasp of our finite brains. We can only try to imagine what forever is. it is like trying to imagine infinity - we just can't really do it with any real understanding. when i think of eternity i get dizzy!
For practical purposes, forever usually means - until the end of MY life, or - until the end of human existence. But forever, that is forever - an infinite amount of time.

so in a way, it doesn't mean anything - to say forever, or infinity, is to go beyond time; time is a constraint.

Forever means until the end of time. But since mankind has created the concept of time, this definition is really meaningless. The truth is nothing lasts forever! Not even our Earth, sun, universe etc.etc.etc.!! There is not one thing in all creation that lasts forever, all things must come to an end , sooner or later!

Forever, the mythical concept of an absoulte - incalculable. A great concept on paper, but in the objective world nothing lasts forever. Unless of course you are a diamond salesperson.

As a finite being, 'Forever' has little significance or meaning to me.
Were I infinite, 'Forever' might still be of little significance since there would be no beginning nor end for me. Therefore, I am drawn to conclude, 'Forever' is actually insignificant to either a finite or infinite entity.

"Forever" is an over-used word that has lost its power and its meaning through this over-use.

Most of us mean for the rest of our lives when we say "I love you forever".

Forever really means infinity, a concept most of us struggle to grasp, which is why "forever" does not have the power of meaning that it should.

"Forever" is something like a one-word idiomatic expression: in and of itself, "forever," in colloquy, has an allusion toward "eternity," but it is clear that no human guarantee can last for eternity (owing to the idiomatic perversion "an eternity"). "Forever" is generally used to represent an indefinite amount of time with an allusion toward the everlasting. To study this word from a morpheme-based morphology standpoint, "forever" is composed of two words that have been assimilated to give a different meaning to both (like the Latin "etiamsi," being composed of "etiam" [even] and "si" [if], to give the idiomatic meaning "even if" or "even though"): "for" (declaring purpose) and "ever" (continually). From this stance, the "ever" part completely distinguishes it from "eternal": "eternal" requires no action, no support--it exists in a vacuum, irrespective of human influence; "forever" requires action, it does require support, and this is why "forever" is permitted to fail us in our faulty perception of it as "eternity." "Forever" is suited to purpose; "eternity" is not.

Eternity does not reference the idea of 'forever.' It is the only aspect of time eternally with us - the NOW.

i believe there isn't a true meaning of the word forever. forever is an undecisive, undescriptive measure of time.
