My wife and I decided to not do the gifts thing and instead put the money towards a cruise in the carribean.
A night out on the town, or in a hotel, or the theatre or even a sporting event might be a fun idea instead of just buying each other a dust collector.

For out one year anniversary we went camping. Got away and spent time together. When we got home his LCD monitor was waiting for him and he had gotten me a tennis bracelt. However...I remember more of the camping trip
For my birthday this year he is taking me to Vegas for a week. I would rather had times with just the two of us...then some gift...

Well, traditionally it is paper. Write a heartfelt poem and buy a small present to accompany it..like a video game or cd.

yeah, paper is what i've heard too. So anything like books, stationary, board games. a paper bra or panties that they can just rip off, lol. Sex is the best gift in a marriage! Keep it alive!

it all depends on what your other likes..i got my man a 80$pair of plugs(big round disk's in peoples ears if you dont know what that means)for our one year..i also depends on if its your 1yr as bf&gf or 1yr as hubby and wife.. usually if its hubby and wife,they tend to get more expensive gifts..or more meaningful gifts..just think about what they like and go from there.
