Last October I had a minor operation to remove varicose veins in my leg. I had over sixty stitches and the care was wonderful. No pain at all. On entering the hospital |I was examined by the surgeon and anesthetist, weighed and blood pressure taken. I filled in a questionnaire. The surgeon drew marks on my leg where he would operate. I was taken to theatre and a needle placed in my arm. I had an injection and the next thing I knew was waking up in recovery. I was discharged later in the day and everything has been fine since.

A big 'Thank You' to the surgeon and all the staff who looked after me at Leigh Infirmary, Leigh, near Manchester, England in October 2006.

I have had quite a few surgeries. It isn't bad at all. Going under is actually peaceful. Waking up is a little rough sometimes. Depending on the type of surgery, the recovery is either nothing or really hard.

I have had...
2 c-sections
3 ankle surgeries (bad break)
gall bladder

Good luck if you are having surgery.

yes, I had Jaw surgery. They moved my upper jaw forward and cut it in half and spread it about and took bone fragment from my hip. It was hard to walk for a while because my hip hurt and I had to eat everything throw a blender! MMMMM... Blended up pizza! I only eat that once and then I stuck to soaps and baby food! I was 19 when I had this done. It was a little scary because a friend had it done a week before and his did not go as well.

I have had a few surgies ....... on knee , arms, hands, and c-sections. I would have to say it all depends on what type of surgery you get and how you deal with pain , is how you will know what it will be like..... what I mean is it is not trip to the park

I had a c-section (Cesarean) with my first child. I didn't feel anything during the surgery ... but afterward my stomach felt like a herd of cow's trampled on it ... and the fifth teen staples they used to close my incision really sucked too! They poked ...burned ... and itched like crazy !
