I would prefer them just to be on time.

I prefer people being early but it's most likely because I am usually early myself. I'd never take my shower that close to dinner if I knew people were coming over.

I don't mind if they come early. I'm quite a relaxed person, so they can keep me company while I prepare the meal. They don't have to help me unless they really want to, but their conversation is enough.

I prefer it when they are a bit later cos then your not rushing round trying to have the meal ready on time, as well as get yourself ready and do the last bits of cleaning too.
