Absolutely not. If you are concerned with the mid-mount foot controls and your knees sticking up into the handlebars, forward controls will solve the problem. It's a sweet looking bike and if it's what you want then, by all means, get yourself one. It's a perfect "bar-hopper" in my humble opinion.

I am 5'5" and ride a Deuce. I saw the Nightster last night up close for the first time. My first comment was on how small the bike is. I didn't think that I would be comfortable on it with the mid bike controls and I can't imagine someone that is 6 feet tall would be comfortable on it. But, the only way you will find out is to try it out.

I can't really speak to the height question but just wanted to say I think the Nightster is the best looking Sportster I've ever seen. I'm heading to the shop this weekend to see if they have one in stock I can see up close. I actually like it's looks better than the big Harley's.

Most likely. If you are over 6 ft you will look a little funny on any sporster. My mom is just over 5 ft and she rides a sporster no problem!!

The Nightster is even lower than any sporster created so far. If you are exactly 6 ft tall, you will fit on it, but may not be as comfortable as you would be on one of the larger Harleys.

Taller people do ride them though. They had a much higher seat height in past years though, and who can afford a softail or road king anyway?

Sweet bike. I would love to get one. I'm only 5'7" tall though.

Hi!

I'm six foot even and had to have the forward controls installed to be comfortable at all. Coming from the sport bike world, I coud not safely ride the bike with the original controls: my feet rested on the the controls themselves not the pegs!

BTW, the bike is great! I haven't enjoyed anything this much in quite some time!

i own a roadster, and the seat height on mine is 29". the nightster is a full 4" lower. since i'm used to the roadster's seat height, the nightster does feel extremely low. but this could also be an advantage in very slow speed; lower height means lower center of gravity. but this also would reduce the bike's lean angle. mine will lean up to 32 and 34 degrees.

nightster is a great bike.

height is not an issue, inseam may be. But you can put forward or rear controls on it.

the best way to tell?

go to your local dealership and sit on one.

I'd buy a nightster in a second, but I am waiting and hoping the XR flat tracker replica gets built.

No. I had a honda shadow that was about the size of a sportster and I looked just fine. Im also 6 ft. My buddy has a sportster and hes 6'2. He look fine on it too. You can get leg/peg extensions put on. It will allow your legs to strech out further. Plus its more comfortable.

It truly depends on the person. Are they a experienced rider. Do they feel more comfortable on that bike? Are they seeking a Harley and can only afford this model... Really it is however the rider feels. If he is comfortable then ride on.
