Hello everyone.....
I'm just curious to know what are the signs of worn or bad motor mounts for a 2000 honda civic, automatic?

Look at the rubber motor mounts. If they are broken or deteriorated they are bad.

Typically bad motor mounts will be felt as vibrations as the vibrations of the engine are directly transferred to the frame of your vehicle.

Vibration, a thunking sound when the engine revs up or slows down suddenly, if you have someone (in a safe area) put the car in drive and hold the brake down and rev the engine a little, the engine will rise up on the bad side more than normal, and may make noise.

You can tell when your mounts are bad when you feel vibrations when you are on the gas. Or you can just check the mounts themselves. If they look cracked or deteriated then they are bad. But if you cant tell usually you can just see the engine moving up and down when you rev the engine or put it in gear.If this happens then you have a bad mount.
