See, me and my friend were having a fight and he thinks that i am holding a grudge because i am mad at him for one day. Do you think it is a grudge or do you think i am just mad?

Not at all. A grudge is something that is remembered and thought about often over weeks, months, and even years. If you were mad for a day....you were mad for a day. That is not a grudge.

When you have a grudge means you have not forgiven a person for whatever hurt they cause you and you keep bringing it up. If he claims that you still hold a grudge over a matter, ask him why he felt that way and ask yourself if you are still mad at him. Sometimes when we are mad at someone, it shows.

Its not a grudge unless it lasts a long period of time. One day is just taking the time to get over it. Tell him to give you time.

"holding a grudge" usually means you just won't ever let something go when you've been hurt, or insulted, or angry. I don't think one day of being angry counts as holding a grudge.

How does that country song go...
"I just want to be mad for a while." Find it and play it for him.
